WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE COMBINE:
GETTING STARTED
A breakdown of your testing session
-
The Facility. Metro Sports Center features a turf field, climate-controlled facilities, and versatile indoor spaces designed for athletic events. It's amenities ensure athletes can perform their best while offering convenience and comfort for participants and spectators alike.
-
Checking In. Starting at 9:30am we will have a registration table set up for those participating in the combine. Check in, fill out a waiver, and grab your shirt (if you signed up by Dec. 20th).
-
Performing the Tests. After you check in, you will head to the field where you will have an area to warm up as needed. We will then get measurements and go through each test. You will be given 2 attempts at each.
-
Receiving Your Scores. After you have completed all tests, you can go back to the registration desk to receive a handout with your recorded scores. Scores will also be posted online after the combine so you can see how you compare to other area athletes. (An email will be sent out providing a link to those scores when they are posted.)
STUDY THE TESTS
Do your research and test with confidence
-
Measurements. You don't need to study for this one. We will measure your standing reach to determine your jump height.
-
Vertical Jump. Measures explosive lower-body power by recording the highest jump an athlete can achieve from a standing position.
-
Pro-Agility (5-10-5.) Evaluates speed, agility, and change-of-direction ability as athletes sprint laterally and return through a 5-10-5 yard shuttle drill.
-
40 Yard Dash. Assesses an athlete's straight-line speed, breaking down performance into acceleration and top speed phases to evaluate how quickly they build momentum and maintain peak velocity over 40 yards.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Preparation is the key to great performance
-
A good night's sleep. Make your sleep a priority so you are well rested and recovered. This will get you the most out of your testing session.
-
Dress for success. Come prepared to move. Your clothing should not limit your abilities. We recommend turf shoes (and/or gym shoes).
-
Hydration. Bring a water bottle with you. Hydration affects performance. Make sure you are also drinking water throughout the day before the testing session.
-
Bring a parent/guardian (if you are under 18). We need to have a liability waiver signed prior to the start of testing. This can be done in person at check-in.
THE NEXT STEP
Take action to improve your abilities
-
4-Week Speed Program. Head to the registration desk after you complete the combine for a handout with your scores. The handout will have a QR code for you to scan to access your Speed Program through the Bridge Tracker App on your phone.

Complete sessions on your schedule.
-
Each exercise or drill has a video demonstration.
-
You have the ability to message one of our coaches on the app if you have questions.
-
-
Don't delay action. The program will only remain active for 5 weeks after the combine, and close on January 31st, 2025.
